Research agency: PCB output value will continue to grow in 2024 and expected to exceed US$78 billion

Affected by the epidemic, the imbalance between supply and demand in 2021 and 2022 has created a global consumption bubble. After the epidemic, the pressure of destocking and interest rate hikes to curb inflation will lead to a sharp decline in the global PCB industry in 2023. The Taiwan Circuit Board Association (TPCA) released a news in 2024, stating that according to estimates from the International Technology Strategy Center (ITSI), the global PCB  output value would drop by 15.6% to US$73.9 billion in 2023. Global circuit board output value will rebound to US$78.2 billion in 2024, an increase of 6.3% compared with 2023. Once the consumer market growth approaches the global economic growth rate, global PCB industry output will begin to maintain long-term growth of 4-5%.
